MARIA ELENA VAZQUEZ
(DBA University of Phoenix) is the Dean of the School of Business and Humanities at campus Guadalajara and the Founder Director of the Center for Retailing at Tecnológico de Monterrey. Her research, teaching and consulting interests focus on retail strategy, branding and service marketing. During her 28 years of experience at Tecnológico de Monterrey she has been responsible for different leadership positions like Director of Special Projects, Director of Strategic Planning and Director of Marketing. Vazquez has concentrated her effort on developing knowledge around the areas of strategic marketing, retail strategy, service marketing and marketing research, and because of that she has been able to work in consulting and training projects with companies like Ford in México, Ciba - Geigy, Smurfitt Cartón y Papel de México, Vitro, Zoológico Guadalajara, Pinturas Berel, Cruz Roja Delegación Guadalajara, Soriana, Farmacias Guadalajara, Bodesa, Arteli, Cervecería Cuauhtémoc Moctezuma, Nutrisa, and ANAM among others. Additionally, she has been visiting faculty at universities located in USA, Ecuador, Colombia and France and her research has been published at the Journal of Business Research, Journal of Shopping Center Research and Managing Service Quality.
